Slovak top skier Vlhová in Saturday's slalom with bib #1


Extremely symbolically, Slovak representative Petra Vlhová will open the weekend race of the World Cup in women alpine skiing in Jasná. Friday evening's draw gave her starting number one. After the leader of the ranking in this discipline in the World Cup, the Swiss Wendy Holdener will take the turn, the Austrian Chiara Mairová has bib number 3. The first round of Saturday's slalom in Jasná is on the program from 9.30, the second from 12.30.

Petra Vlhová is 40 points ahead of the second Austrian Katharina Liensberger, whose draw resulted in bib number 5. Katharina Truppe, also from Austria, will start with the bib number 4. Mikaela Shiffrin from the USA will start on the track with number 6 and the elite seven will be closed by the Swiss Michelle Gisin.

At other times, the ceremonial draw in front of the spectators took place on Friday afternoon at a meeting of team representatives with the organizers and representatives of the International Ski Federation (FIS) directly in Jasná.

The President of the Organising Committee Matej Hulej, Chief of Race Jana Palovičová, FIS technical delegate Bohumír Zeman, and FIS Women's Alpine Race Director Peter Gerdol officially welcomed teams from around the world and gave them information about the race in Jasná and other instructions regarding World Cup in Aare, Sweden and Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
