Tickets for the AUDI FIS WORLD CUP JASNA will go on sale on October 10th at 10:00 AM

The price for tickets for the AUDI FIS WORLD CUP JASNA will be available from 35 euros for two days

(JASNA, October 6, 2023) - The Audi FIS World Cup women's downhill skiing races in the Low Tatras resort of Jasna are approaching quickly. In just 105 days, the world's best female skiers, including Slovak Petra Vlhová, will be fighting for valuable points for the season standings in Liptov. The global elite will compete on the northern slopes of Chopok on January 20 and 21, 2024 - on Saturday in the giant slalom and the following day in the slalom.

Compared to the winter of 2021, the date for the Audi FIS World Cup in Jasna has shifted slightly; back then, the top skiers performed at the beginning of March. This time, the Low Tatras secured a more lucrative January slot. Organizers are registering huge interest from enthusiastic Slovak fans to watch live Petra Vlhová and Mikaela Shiffrin in action. Those who can't wait can secure tickets for the World Cup in Jasna 2024 from October 10, 2023, at 10.00 AM, when the official ticket sales begin. Tickets will only be available online on the official event website www.worldcupjasna.sk and www.jasna.sk. With Gopass, fans can access both competition days in Jasná from 35 euros. The organizing team has prepared tickets from 28 euros for children aged 6 to 12. Children up to 6 years old will have free entry.

"The launch of ticket sales is a pivotal moment that brings us even closer to the races. While the organizing committee has been working intensively on preparing the event for many months, now fans, who decide to be there and buy tickets for the biggest sports holiday in Slovakia next year, are entering the game. Today we can say that it will be a magnificent sports event with the best skiers in the world and a rich accompanying program, unlike anything Jasna has experienced before. Since the resort has its capacity limits, we recommend that anyone planning to come secure tickets as soon as possible – also because they are available at the most advantageous prices for Gopass holders at the beginning of the sale. The first 1000 tickets will be available for the lowest amount of 35 euros for 2 days. Subsequently, their price will increase by 10 euros, so the amount  of two-day tickets in the second wave will be 45 euros," informed Jiří Trumpeš, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Audi FIS World Cup 2024.

The price of a two-day ticket in the first wave without Gopass will be 38 euros/adult and 31 euros/children from 6 to 12 years old. One person will be able to purchase a maximum of 10 tickets. Upon purchase, tickets will be registered in the name and surname and will be non-transferable.

Chief of the Organizing Committee Jiří Trumpeš and the president of the Slovak Ski Association, Martin Paško, ceremoniously handed over the first ticket for both competition days of the Audi FIS World Cup in Jasna to a skilled season ticket holder from last winter. Adrián Štempel is among the regular top recorders in the number of kilometers skied among season ticket holders.
“As president of the Slovak Ski Association, I am proud that we have managed to achieve unity in alpine skiing with joint efforts. Thanks to this, and thanks to the excellent work of the entire association, we are unequivocally accepted by the International Ski Federation FIS as a reliable partner, resulting in being entrusted with the organization of World Cup races in Jasna. Our partners, especially TMR, but also other significant companies and institutions, believe in our big dream of top-organized Audi FIS World Cup alpine skiing races in 2024 in Jasna, together with us. We rarely get the opportunity to present ourselves in front of 150 million viewers worldwide," stated Martin Paško, President of the Slovak Ski Association.

Despite winter seeming far away, full-scale preparation is underway in Jasna. "On both the competition and training tracks, we have replaced some snowmaking towers with more powerful ones to spray more snow in less time. We are currently adjusting the surface of the tracks and preparing for the stabilization of television towers and screens. We are preparing for the winter season so that the snowmaking system is launched at the right time at one hundred percent, and we are producing enough snow," said Maroš Kupčo, the Chief of Tracks for the World Cup.

The joy of hosting the world skiing elite once again is shared by the whole Liptov region, where the races will attract numerous Slovak and foreign fans, and the event will provide a financial stimulus to local entrepreneurs. "Jasna will become the center of attention of the skiing world for two days. A promotional opportunity like this comes once in a lifetime. With my colleagues from the region, we are working to make the event a showcase of our abilities and attract even more tourists to us. Both before and after the event, we will present Liptov as a year-round destination, so that the fans visiting the World Cup become our regular visitors," said Ján Blcháč, director of the Regional Tourism Organization (OOCR) of the Liptov region.
