Both racers and FIS representatives are satisfied with the level of preparation in Jasná

Although the opinion of the racers on the quality of the slope is important when organizing the women Alpine Ski World Cup in Jasná, the views of the representatives of the International Ski Federation (FIS) are also very important. They performed several inspections at Chopok in the past and are still evaluating the level of readiness of the area on an ongoing basis.

On Wednesday, Markus Mayr, Race Director of World Cup Women Technical Events, and Bohumír Zeman, the FIS Technical Delegate, were present on the slope. Both expressed satisfaction with the current situation in Jasná.

“The slope in Jasná is perfectly prepared, actually as always. The organizers prepared it an outstanding way. Only minor technical things are being fine-tuned, otherwise everything is fine. I believe that the current pleasant weather will last until Sunday,” said the former Czech representative Bohumír Zeman, who succeeded in the competition slopes in Jasná, and in 1974 he won bronze in slalom at the European Junior Championships.

Markus Mayr was leaving the slope in a good mood. “During Wednesday's inspection of the slope I was able to smile on the way down, as everything is ready at the world level. We are only fine-tuning the details. The safety features are also alright the staff did a really great job,” he said.

The lively bustle in the finish area did not escape his attention. “It's always a big challenge in Jasná, the reason is the specific local slope,” Mayr made it clear. He was also pleased with the sun shining in the sky. “The weather here is currently excellent, but the competition days are not now. The weekend will be important and the forecast is favourable in this regard. It's supposed to cool down and become a bit breezy, but it shouldn't be anything dramatic, so we're not worried,” he added.
